A Masterwood CNC machining centre is helping a specialist interiors company fulfil contracts at the BBC.
Concorde Interiors of Belvedere says business is flying high after investing in the Winner 3.2 CNC machining centre, which has freed up skilled joiners to concentrate on BBC contracts including the fitting out of director-general Greg Dyke’s office.
The machine was primarily acquired to speed up batch processing of standard components such as doors, architraves and skirting for customers such as the Co-Op.
Concorde, which recently moved into a new 24,000ft2 factory, says the Winner has also proved invaluable for bespoke projects such as cutting out the raised, hollowed-out solid ash lettering for the BBC logo at one of the corporation’s London offices.
The Winner range is priced from around £40,000.
