Private plantations in Victoria, Australia, will treble in size by 2020, a state government report predicts.
The report, which outlines an A$8m private forestry strategy, says private plantations will increase from 250,000ha to 750,000ha. The government says the industry has the potential to create up to 10,000 jobs and generate A$6bn annually.
