Nottinghamshire-based PA Flooring has invested in its future with the installation of four purpose-built training bays at its new Tuxford headquarters.

The company is working closely with the Construction Industry Training Board to ensure all its current fitters attain NVQ Level 2 qualifications in both flooring and tiling.

PA also ensures its fitters attend suppliers’ manufacturing and product information courses. PA commercial director Mike Horner said: “When they come back from a training course they go into the training bays to reinforce what they’ve learned by going over it again and again, and practising their skills.”

Three of the bays are set up as rooms simulating realistic on-site problems and the fourth has a timber floor on which fitters can practice the fine art of sanding and sealing.
