A fresh initiative at this year’s Woodmex will be two free seminars to update visitors about impending woodworking machinery regulations.

Both sessions will be presented by Keith Dobson of Yew Lodge Health and Safety Training and will cover the Provision and Use of Woodworking Equipment Regulations (PUWER), plus other legislation affecting users of woodworking machinery.

Tony Kaye, technical director of the Woodworking Machinery Suppliers Association (WMSA), which owns and sponsors Woodmex, said: “WMSA is aware that many machinery users are still not fully aware about current PUWER requirements, especially with regard to braking and tooling.”
