Fillcrete Ltd‘s building products business has merged with sister company Excel Industries of Ebbw Vale.
The move is part of a medium-term strategy to bring the companies’ building products activities into one division and provide additional resource and customer support by centralising the manufacturing, sales and technical support activities.
The Fillcrete Building Supplies (FBS) sales and distribution operation, formerly based at Hull, has now relocated to Excel’s site.
Excel is the manufacturer of Fillcrete’s Warmcel high performance insulation products and supplies the retrofit loft insulation market.
FBS’s products, now supplied through Excel, include the Masonite timber building system for walls, floor and roofs; Warmcel 500 breathing insulation; Panelvent, Bitvent and Wallrak sheathing; and Roofrak and Sarket roof sarking.
The components combine to form the Fillcrete-developed EVT technology solution and the factory-produced Tradis range of wall panels, floor cassettes and roof plates.
