Increasing use of I-beams and changing building regulations have contributed to record sales levels of Nexfor‘s Caberdek flooring range in recent months.
Based on Nexfor’s moisture resistant P5 Caberfloor particleboard, Caberdek features a removable, slip-resistant waterproof film to provide a safe working platform for building site workers.
Peter Ball, Nexfor’s panel sales manager, said: “Since its launch, sales of Caberdek have expanded rapidly and part of that success is due to the increasing use by house builders of I-beams with 600mm centres, which find an ideal partner in our 22mm thick board.”
He said the product also provides the ‘falls protection’ needed under building regulation changes for working inside a building over a certain height.
