Egger (UK) Ltd is revamping its business strategy to improve its distributor operation.

The wood based panel products company unveiled its new plans to select distributors at its European group headquarters in St Johann, Austria recently.

A key element of the scheme will be the offer of an increased product range to distributors. To cater for this there will be an overhaul of the logistical operation in the UK, which will include the installation of a new racking and logistics system at Egger’s Northumberland manufacturing facility and a programme of new product investment.

Several new lines will be introduced, including a range of kitchen worktops, edgings and laminates available from stock which will help distributors achieve specification of Egger’s products in the market place.

Marketing manager Nick McClughin said: “The plans were enthusiastically received by our distributors who now recognise the extent of our commitment to helping them build their business and secure additional market share in a competitive sector.”

Egger’s distributor network has been strengthened by the recent appointment of James Latham Ltd for the north of England and Scotland.
