An £8,000 contract to supply a spiral stair handrail to a Gucci-owned Italian handbag and accessories store in London was completed, from enquiry to installation, in just 10 days by Haldane UK.
Fife-based Haldane manufactured and installed the American black walnut kidney-shaped handrail, with associated ramps and ends, at Bottega Veneta’s new flagship store.
Haldane’s project manager Colin McLean said: “We have worked on many prestigious retail contracts in and around London, however, we are particularly proud to have successfully completed this superb project within an extremely tight timeframe.”
The company has invested considerable sums in the past year bringing in Vanguard Consulting to help improve efficiencies, from enquiries through to invoicing, in order to deliver products in the shortest possible lead time.
Haldane’s biggest project to date was the £315,000 contract to design and install the handrails at Bluewater shopping centre, Dartford.
