Forest Enterprise has enlisted the help of a JCB Fastrac to recover burnt-out stolen cars littering its Scottish forests.

A large number of wrecks has built up over the years but their removal has proved difficult by conventional means due to the inaccessible nature of the sites.

The Fastrac 3185, which is based at Chapelhall and Keltie, was modified by Forest Enterprise engineering staff to include a winch and Hiab crane. It also features altered hydraulics, a heavy-duty undershield and branch deflectors on the cab.
