The European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (Eumabois) has given its backing to the World Exhibitions Network 2003, a calendar of exhibition events around the world.
Next year most of the shows Eumabois will support are taking place in Europe – Ligna in Hannover in Germany, FIMMA in Spain, Wood & Forest in Finland, Tekhnodrev in Russia and Wood-Tec in the Czech Republic.
Eumabois says that in South America two exhibitions stand out – Fimma Brasil in Brazil and Fitecma in Buenos Aires, while South-east Asia is back on the triennial exhibition cycle in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, starting from 2004.
Eumabois says it supports the creation of an exhibitions calendar as it advises about key exhibitions in different countries, and avoids the dispersion of exhibitors and the proliferation of smaller events.
