A M$30m timber processing centre is to be built in Malaysia.
Behind the project is Aramijaya Sdn Bhd, a 70:30 joint venture company between Pembinaan Limbongan Setia Bhd and YPJ Holdings Bhd.
Construction is due to begin next month and the centre is due to be commissioned in mid-2003. It will be equipped with machinery from Sweden and Germany and have integrated facilities for sawing timber, kiln drying and wood chipping dedicated to the acacia mangium timber sourced from the Uiu Sedili Compensatory Forest Estate complex.
