Bognor Regis-based Eurotek has seen turnover rise by 400% to £9.5m since its management buyout in 1991 by chairman Bob Lee and managing director Terry Kuhler.
Eurotek currently buys more than 2,000 tons of Caberdecor MFC from Nexfor each year and two of the finishes, Limed Oak and Viennese Pear, are proving particularly popular in its new Agio range which is predicted to surpass sales projections made at its launch last year.
As well as Agio, Caberdecor’s MFC is used in the manufacture of Eurotek’s biggest selling high spec Glade and Glade System ranges and the lower
spec Contract range. These are sold throughout the UK via Eurotek’s 100+ wholesalers and distributors. Government departments and the big utilities are dealt with on a direct basis.
Mr Kuhler said: “Shortly after our MBO succeeded, we made the decision to move out of PVC foil and into melamine paper finishes.”
He said the fact that Caberdecor products are FSC accredited is an important factor for government departments and other public bodies such as utilities.
