China has set up its first national government website dedicated to timber-producing forests.
The site, Economy Forestry Information China, publicises latest details from the forest industry, including statistics which show the country is the world leader in terms of crop forest area and output, 27.3 million ha and 68.8 million tonnes respectively. China’s combined output value is US$15.9bn.
