An OSB mill at Sutton, West Virginia has become the 18th Weyerhaeuser manufacturing facility to be registered to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standard.
The system addresses federal, state and local environmental regulatory compliance, and includes waste reduction and pollution prevention measures.
Kerry Miller, mill general manager, described the certification as extremely significant for two reasons. “It meets the environmental standards that our customers demand, and it represents another example of our long-standing commitment to minimising our impact on the environment, enhancing worker safety and improving business performance.”
