Delta Line of Bratislava, Slovakia, has won a US$200m contract to carry out an afforestation programme in China.
In the first phase, Delta Line will import 7,000 seedlings which will be cultivated in the province surrounding Beijing.
The trees will be showcased at the Olympic Games in 2008 with Delta Line planting pine trees at Langfang city where a new airport and Olympic village will be built.
China will provide 300,000ha a year for afforestation.
