Newly-formed joinery company ISIS omg Ltd has moved from hand-sanding to a wide-belt sander after just a few months in business.
The small business, set up last year by Oliver Davies and Greg Shaw who both previously worked for a large shopfitters, opted to buy a Timesavers-Sandingmaster because manual sanding was proving too time-consuming.
The 2300 twin-head machine, bought through Leicester-based TM Machinery Sales Ltd, has speeded up the process by an average of 75%. It sands hardwood and veneered boards prior to assembly.
Features include a frequency controlled feed speed of 5-22m/min, a re-programmable thickness setting with a digital readout and fine adjustment of the aggregate. The Timesavers-Sandingmaster range is available from £6,000.
