James Jones & Sons Ltd’s timber systems division has made its first steps into the Irish market by signing a distributor agreement with importer/merchant Haldane Fisher Ltd to supply JJI-Joists.
The company believes the strategic partnership with Haldane Fisher, of Newry in Northern Ireland, provides an opportunity to expand its JJI-Joist business and build market share.

Tom Bruce-Jones, director of the timber systems division, said: “Both parties believe that their complementary cultures and skills will ensure a successful take up of JJI-Joists in the domestic and commercial building sectors, and comes at a time when the second phase of the JJI-Joist manufacturing plant expansion at Forres is nearing completion and full commissioning.”
