UCM Timber Plc and SJ Whitaker & Co Ltd have announced that it is the intention of UCM group member Dorman Timber Agencies (Ireland) Ltd to acquire the trading business of Whitaker.
An official statement from UCM said that the proposed merger would strengthen both Dublin-based agencies’ “commitment to servicing the Irish timber trade”.
Whitaker’s staff are to join Dorman.
