Eumabois has published a new edition of its “industry dictionary” to bring woodworking machinery terminology up-to-date and easier to understand.
The nomenclature, so far available in English, French and Italian, gives accurate terms for equipment used to process wood and make furniture.
It supercedes the first edition, published by Eumabois (the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers) in 1980, which became obsolete due to major technical advances and because different definitions were being provided by trade exhibitions and national associations.
A total of 19 categories, incorporating 600 product sections, covers areas including “machinery, technical equipment and services for forestry”, “robots” and “tools and accessories”.
