Dieffenbacher of Germany has seen a surge of orders from China for HDF/THDF plants, with three contracts secured in the first quarter of 2003 and eight in the past year.
The latest success was in March when Yingang Co of Zhending City ordered a Conti THDF plant package including gluing, sifting, forming and pressing technology and raw panel handling.
Meanwhile, Greek particleboard manufacturer Akritas SA has replaced its 1970s production line with a Dieffenbacher-supplied CPS press, measuring 2.4×25.6m, in order to cope with increasing demand from the domestic furniture industry.
Dieffenbacher installed a continuous particleboard line, designed to make 1,000m3 of 16mm boards per day, as well as a glue preparation and dosing system and finished board stacking boxes.
