The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certification scheme has launched a website at www.sfiprogram.info to widen communication on its standards and progress.
In North America the SFI, which has been designed specifically for the challenges posed by forestry in the region, has independently certified 73 million acres of forest as sustainable.
SFI is also working closely with the Pan European Certification Scheme and is represented on its board.
