The many credentials of Scottish wood and the forests it comes from will be the theme of the combined Forestry Commission Scotland and Forest Industries’ exhibition at the Royal Highland show on June 19-22.

Exhibition co-ordinator Derek Nelson of Forestry Commission Scotland said the aim is to show visitors that Scotland’s forestry and timber industries are making an important contribution to sustainable development.

The many uses of wood will be on display including part of a Forestry Commission Forest Holidays cabin; a log cut into many different products; and a timber frame building with a range of different wooden claddings.
