Three young woodworkers, Lee Fawcett, John Lambert and Martin McAlorum are finalising their preparations to represent the UK at the 37th WorldSkills competition to be held in St Gallen in Switzerland from June 19-22.
The competitors have faced a two-year selection process which began when each completed and one his regional Skillbuild competition.
Throughout the two years the competitors have been supported by Makita UK which has provided an extensive selection of power tools and hands-on training.
The results will be announced at the closing ceremony on June 25. Log onto competition website www.worldskills.com which includes web cams to view the event.
