International Decorative Surfaces (IDS) has signed a major deal to be the sole UK distributor of Bruce hardwood flooring.
Staffordshire-based IDS will offer more than 200 Bruce product lines in a range of species including oak, cherry, maple, beech and walnut.
Bruce decided to partner with IDS because its own in-house distribution operation at Oxford was not able to keep pace with demand.
Immediate benefits promised to flooring retailers include the reduction of delivery times from four working days to 24-48 hours to any UK location. All sales enquiries for Bruce flooring will also be handled by IDS from its 10 distribution branches around the country.
IDS already distributes several major floor industry brands, including Unilin QuickStep and Meister engineered flooring. The company’s managing director John Bagshaw said the company aims to be the number one distributor in the UK flooring sector.
