A wood fibre shortage has led Tembec to temporarily close two of its Canadian Kraft pulp mills.
The two-week closures at Marathon and Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario, will mean a 10% reduction in the company’s quarterly Canadian Kraft production.
Supplies of wood fibre have been seriously affected by US countervailing duties on softwood lumber exports to America.
