Essex-based Wood International Agency Ltd made an appearance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, courtesy of Forest Stewardship Council certified plywood from Brazil.

Greenpeace UK approached Wood International to supply the Brazilian tropical hardwood plywood for the construction of a skateboard ramp at the festival site.

Fifty-six sheets of 9mm plywood produced by Gethal Amazonas SA were supplied through Clarks Wood & Co Ltd of Bristol.

Wood International director Alan Lamont said: “We were delighted when Greenpeace called us looking for FSC plywood. We have also recently taken orders for the first FSC plywood faced trucks decks, as well as orders for hardwood, pine and eucalyptus FSC plywood.”
