The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is planning to lend €24.5m to help wood panel company Kronospan build a standard furniture grade MDF plant in the Czech Re-public.
The bank wants to consolidate the Czech wood processing sector, which it says has “traditionally been unproductive”. Local banks would lend €15.50m in parallel.
