illbruck Building Systems GmbH of Germany has bought Alfas Group Ltd, the Tyneside- and Leicester-based manufacturer of sealants, adhesives, security glazing tapes and movement joints.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, follows successful co-operation between the two companies in the UK through a joint venture company, Compriband Ltd.
Alfas will remain illbruck’s sole manufacturing and sales arm in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
