A £900,000 investment in new premises and equipment will help roof truss manufacturer Palgrave Brown treble its capacity to in excess of 5,000 trusses a week.
And there are plans to expand two more of the company’s sites in the New Year as it invests to meet the demands of national contracts.
Palgrave Brown has relocated its Boston site from Hamilton Way to 20,000ft2 premises on the Boston industrial centre which it has refurbished to its requirements.
The move, which did not interrupt business, saw a £500,000 investment in premises and a further £400,000 in new equipment, including the latest computerised MiTek sawing equipment, new pressing machinery and mechanical handling equipment.
Director of UK operations Steve Pinner said: “This is a very exciting move for us as once we are up and running we will treble our capacity with a facility capable of producing 5,000 trusses per week.
“We will have the opportunity to upgrade working conditions for our employees while providing an even greater service for our customers.”
Palgrave Brown’s turnover has increased from £25m to £60m in less than five years and the national network of sites expand from 12 to 19 over the past four years.
