Stora Enso Timber has invested €8m in the latest technology at its new Ala component mill in Sweden.

The mill will produce

Finger-jointed and glued components for the window and door industries and annual production capacity is forecast to be 26,000m3. The company will be targeting the Nordic countries as well as industrial customers in other markets.

“This enables a cost-efficient process flow as well as even quality of pieces.”

He said the new machinery will enable, among other things, a continuous grain structure of the components.
