A range of woodworking machinery is being shipped to the Advanced Woodworking Training Centre in Bangalore, India.

The centre, set up by Italian woodworking machinery manufacturers’ association Acimall and the Italian foreign trade institute ICE, is to take delivery of a universal edgebander and a frame stapler from Alfamacchine plus an edgebander from Group SCM.

The machines will be used for the centre’s training modules that are designed to stimulate change in ancient Indian craft.

The initiative, designed to also boost sales of Italian machinery in India, is being supported by 26 Italian companies which supply machines and materials to set up an efficient traditional joinery shop.
