The introduction of an Omga Ti88 notching machine at Andover-based Input Joinery has boosted production of half lap joints for Georgian-style glazing bars.

Gerald Ruddick, Input’s managing director, said output of cross joints had grown by 25% since the Omga’s installation three months ago.

The model supplied by Liverpool-based JJ Smith & Co (Woodworking Machinery) Ltd features automatic feed with LCD digital readout to the length setting between notches, plus electronic setting for the number of notches and type of end working required.

Omga manufactures a wide range of machines to suit various production requirements, including the smaller manually-fed Ti350 and the high-specification Ti189NC fitted with onboard computer and optional hopper feed and scribing head.
