Resource Information Systems Inc (RISI), a US Massachussetts-based independent analyst of the international forest products industry, is to hold a special half day seminar on the timber products market on March 30 at the Hotel Le Meridien in Nice, France. The keynote speaker will be Adrian Whiteman, senior economist with the FAO‘s Forest Economics Service.

The seminar, entitled “North American roundwood and wood products markets: prospects for European producers”, will discuss the eastern “drift” of the European forest products market and examine what is happening in the major wood products end-user markets in North America.

Delegates will also be presented with RISI’s two-year forecasts for roundwood, sawnwood and panels.

The seminar is followed on March 31 with a full-day conference on the European pulp and paper industry.
