Twenty-six speakers from seven countries are lined up to give technical presentations at the fourth European Wood-Based Panel Sympsoium on September 15-17.

Organised by the European Panel Federation (EPF) in co-operation with the Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institute (WKI), the event will see five sessions – the opening; technological developments; testing and simulation; new products and product development; ecological challenges.

The organisers said that given the drama of September 11, 2001, the third European Wood-Based Panel Symposium held that same month was a great success, attracting more than 300 participants from 25 European countries.

This year’s event, they said, is an opportunity to learn about new technical solutions, discuss new applications and experiences with experts from industry and research institutes, and exchange ideas for future research and development.
