South Essex Kitchens Ltd has improved production flexibility for both “one-offs” and volume work following its investment in a Schelling beam saw.

The Witham-based family-run company, which only supplies trade customers, bought the entry-level FXH machine to boost manufacturing of kitchen carcasses.

The FXH features a steel bed, three air flotation tables, a rack and pinion saw carriage, a cross aligning device, feeder with clamps and Schelling’s quick blade-change system. It has a 4.3m cutting length and a cutting height of 80mm.

A windows based control system allows the operator to view a simulation of the machine in action.
