Dieffenbacher has won the contract to supply the first continuous thin high density fibreboard (HDF) plant in Shanxi Province, western China.
The greenfield plant will be built in Xian City, famous for its clay-formed life-size terracotta warriors, for Shanxi Zhong Xing Timber Co Ltd.
The company, already an established wood panel producer in the area with a multi-opening system for MDF, aims to use the new installation to diversify its product range into HDF and thin HDF, down to a maximum thickness of 2mm.
Dieffenbacher’s supply package comprises core processing equipment including a gluing system, flash dryer, fibre sifter, a continuous forming and press line with a 8ft by 23m CPS press, plus the raw board handling system with cooling and stacking.
