An Indonesian provincial governor has suggested illegal loggers be shot on sight to help curb illegal logging.
Suwarna Abdul Fatah, governor of East Kalimantan, said firm action was needed to stop rampant illegal logging in the province. A shoot-on-sight policy, he added, would show that authorities were serious about protecting the environment.
