Stewart Milne, head of the Aberdeen-based housbuilding group and timber frame specialist of the same name, is listed among the richest individuals in Britain to have built their fortune from a vocational qualification or apprenticeship.
Mr Milne is placed eigth on the City & Guilds Vocational Rich List personal worth estimated at £132m.
Mr Milne started out as an apprentice electrician after passing his City & Guilds qualifications.
Stewart Milne Group now employs 1,600 people and has a turnover of £200m.
