Office equipment manufacturer Workspace Office Solutions has invested in a new Schelling beam saw to boost production at its Haverhill factory.

The company, which consolidated all its manufacturing facilities under one roof earlier this year, makes a wide range of office products including desks, storage units, chairs and screens.

It has used Schelling beam saws for seven years and now manufactures a wide variety of panels in 40 different types of finish, six different panel thicknesses and many sizes.

The new Schelling beam saw is an FL model, with a flexible infeed, and joins the existing FL model previously installed. The two machines are interlinked at the infeed for interchange of boards and quick infeed changeover on either machine.

John Bibby, manufacturing engineer of Workspace Office Solutions, considered a number of panel machine suppliers before choosing Schelling. “We have experienced the company’s build quality and high quality of service over many years,” he said.
