Greenpeace activists set up roadblocks and chained themselves to bulldozers in the Tongass National Forest, Alaska in protest against a Bush administration plan to let governors decide whether to seek protection of roadless national forest land.
The protestors argue forests should be protected for future generations while supporters of the government proposal said the plan is a sensible way to protect forests and give states greater say in their management.
