The Canadian Standards Association‘s (CSA) forest certification scheme is to be assessed by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) Council.
It is the third major forest certification scheme to apply for PEFC endorsement. Australian and Chilean programmes are already being assessed.
Independent consultant FORM International will assess the CSA scheme. A public consultation period is already under way, with interested parties able to review the scheme at www.pefc.org
