With the aim of strengthening its position as the largest OSB producer in Europe, the Swiss Krono group is investing in a new OSB plant in Slubice, Poland.
Initially an OSB production line will be installed at a cost of around €100m. The new facility will be equipped with a 43×2.8m continuous press designed for an annual output capacity of some 500,000m3.
This line will be followed later by another production line for chipboard or MDF.
The Krono group has three OSB production lines in Europe with an annual capacity of more than one million m3. The new line will take production to more than 1.5 million m3 a year.
