BASF acquires tree marker gene licence

BASF Plant Science has acquired a worldwide, exclusive, commercial licence for a new selection marker gene in plant transformation from SweTree Technologies.

BASF Plant Science said the technology is an important tool for its crop transformation platform, while SweTree said that BASF represents a strong partner for the company.
