Browns 2000 has invested in a Biesse Excel CNC router for nested manufacturing.
The machine, bought at Woodmex, has already been installed in the company’s Cramlington factory and will be used for making bedroom and kitchen furniture.
Managing director Peter Brown, said: “Apart from the performance of the router itself, we’ve been watching the restructuring of Biesse UK and the additional resources that have been put into further improving service and spares support, which gave us extra confidence in returning to Biesse as a supplier.”
The Excel offers random toolchanging with two independent heads adjusting automatically in the Z axis to compensate for tools of different lengths. It is available with twin matrix tables for nesting operations, as well as a bar support/pod system.
