All Masonite Beams and studs sold in the UK will in future bear the CE mark, following European technical approval of Swelite AB’s range of engineered products.
Masonite Beams (UK) Ltd says the Swelite range of Masonite Beams is the first Swedish-made wood-based construction product offering to receive CE labelling.
Technical director Mike Baron said: “Previously, we have had to send off products several times a year to get them independently tested. Now, the factory’s own internal quality control can guarantee the products fulfil the demands of the CE label.”
Meanwhile, investment at Swelite AB’s factory means Masonite Beams UK can now offer bespoke beams including profile cuts and holes, together with package wrapped bundles of cut floors and roofs.
