New pavilions at Feria Valencia, Spain will be home to the 32nd Fimma-Maderalia on November 9-12 next year.

Fimma – the International Woodworking Machinery Fair and Maderalia – the International Fair for Suppliers to the Furniture and Woodworking Industry will take place in the new pavilions 1,2,3 and 4 and the aim is to divide the product offer into categories and sections to make it easier for buyers to find exactly what they are looking for.

Furniture manufacturers are still the core market for Fimma-Maderalia, with up to 75% of visitors coming from this sector. Other visitors include joiners and carpenters, hardware dealers, wholesalers supplying furniture and/or joinery and carpentry manufacters, DIY centres, specifiers, decorators and interior designers.

Maderalia president Francisco Perelló said: “Spanish suppliers of products, processes and services for the furniture industry are not sufficiently well-known in Europe and I’m not just talking about the new EU members, but also the more advanced markets like the UK.”

He said Spain had companies ready to compete in European markets and added that collaboration among all European countries would make the Continent a strong competitor against China and other Asian countries which pose a threat.
