Bury-based Howarth Timber & Building Supplies has invested £400,000 in its Bright Street site to develop undercover space and more stock storage.
A 20,000ft2 shed has been built in the yard enabling the company to add new products to its range.
Two additional members of staff have been taken on to cater for the increased demand and a one-way system now runs through the site to ease congestion in the yard.
Branch manager Paul Barton said the improvements have enabled the company to offer a one-stop shop for timber and building supply needs.
