Mumford & Wood Ltd has supplied French doorsets and sash windows to complete the renovation of a late Victorian/early Edwardian property in Sidmouth.
The company worked with the homeowners and their architect to satisfy the local authority’s demand that new windows be double-glazed to comply with Building Regulations, as well as matching the period style.
The new Conservation range windows and doorsets were made for a new two-storey extension, the final phase of an eight-year renovation project at the house, which provides a garden room and additional bedrooms.
Windows feature vertical spring balance sliding sashes with ovolo moulded glazing bars. The slender 22mm ovolo bars on the doorsets were recreated to match the period style.
