Australia’s timber and wood products trade deficit narrowed in the June quarter, but still stands at more than A$300m.
Forest and timber products exports accounted for A$557.1m, compared to A$497.9m in the March quarter.
Imports during the June quarter were A$903m compared with A$1bn in the March quarter.
For the 2002/03 financial year, Australia imported A$3.97bn worth of timber and forest products and exported A$2.12bn.
