A Shrewsbury kitchen maker says it plans to invest in Hoffman‘s new combination guillotine/keyway router after successfully using the machine manufacturer’s individual units.
Mark Cooper Cabinets saw the prototype combination machine at the recent Woodmex show and intends to order one – as soon as it is in production.
The company currently uses a Morsø guillotine and separate Hoffman keyway router, which it says have saved significant time and labour since being introduced two years ago for making in-frames for kitchen fascias.
Production of in-frames for a single kitchen used to take up to four days by hand but can now be completed in hours.
The combination machine offers both the guillotine and keyway routing functions and is designed to save further time, space and labour.
